visiting the California Historical Society
On Thursday April 30th, 2015, 29 Students, Ms. Vargas and Mr. Holubar went to the California Historical Society. We met the research librarians and archivists who explained how to use the research library and search for materials. In addition, we were treated to a show of some of the best hits and treasures of the archive as well as newly catalogued material from the 1960s protest movements of the bay area.
After lunch, we got to look around the new exhibit on the 1915 World's Fair in San Francisco. We also met and spoke to a member of the staff involved in the creation of the exhibit to discuss the choices and processes involved in making a historical exhibit. |
